The DjVu technology was initially developed by a team of AT&T Labs-Research scientist and developers lead by Yann LeCun and composed of Leon Bottou, Patrick Haffner, Paul Howard, Yoshua Bengio, Pascal Vincent, Joe Orost, Bill Riemers, and Praveen Guduru.

DjVu is now developed by a team that includes Luc Vincent, Bill Riemers, Mike Hawrylycz, Artem Mirkheev and LizardTech, and Leon Bottou, Yann LeCun, and Patrick Haffner at AT&T.
